ALKALI STRIPPABLE PLATING RESIST INK

SPR-530C ¡Í SPR-535C

 

 

SPR-530C¡Í SPR-535C are alkali strippable plating resist inks that have excellent resistance to acidic plating solutions and SPR-530C has even resistance to mild alkaline ( up to pH 10 ) plating.

 

METHOD OF APPLICATION

 

1)      Scrubbing

Use scrubbing machine.

 

2)      Printing

Printing conditions are --

a)         Screen mesh size

Polyester                  250¡X300

Stainless steel            300¡X350

b)         Squeezee

70   durometer

Preparation

SPR-530C¡Í SPR-535C are highly thirotropic inks, they may appear viscous when no dynamic force is

applied.

Therefore, we recommend stirring these inks vigorously for a few minutes until they become smooth and fluid immediately before screening.

 

3)      Curing

       Forced circulated air oven is used and curing conditions are --

 

1st side

2nd side

SPR-530C

80-100¢J, 5-10 min.

80-10¢J , 15 min.

SPR-535C

80-100¢J, 10-15 min.

80-100¢J, 30 min.

 

4)      Plating

a)         cleaning (acid cleaner, room temperature)

b)         water rinse

c)         light etching

d)         water rinse

e)         acid dipping (5-10% sulfuric acid)

f)         water rinse

g)         copper plating

h)         water rinse

i)         activating (10-20% fluoboric acid)

j)         tin or tin/lead plating

k)         water rinse

l)         drying

SPR-535C cannot be used with pyro-phosphate copper plating solutions.

 

5)      Stripping

SPR-530C can be stripped readily by 3-5% NaOH solution, and

SPR-530C can by 0.5-3% NaOH solution at 40¢J.

CAUTION

SPR-530C cannot be used with pyrophosphate copper plating solutions.

It is recommended those SPR-530C & SPR-535C without dilution. However, solvent can be added (up to 3%) if it is required to reduce the viscosity.
